It has an upgraded Canon EX+ engine and processor with HP's Memory Enhancement technology (MEt), that boosts print speed to 12 pages per minute (ppm), an improved printing mechanism that allows for increased grayscale tones, a 20-30W power saving (stand-by) mode, a duty cycle of up to 20,000 pages per month, support for automatic duplex option, along with the capability to handle scaled fonts, hot I/O's, dual paper bin input, the enchanced PCL 5 language, and in addition the HP - GL/2 enchancement for plotter output. Combined with a toner capacity of between 6,000 - 8,000 pages (@ 5% coverage of the page), this is one laser printer that any personal, home office, or workplace user cannot overlook.
